Mishima-Lets Get a Cancer Checkup

One can get an examination for cancer between May 1st and Decemeber 20th.
Individual Checkups: One can get a checkup at participating hospitals within Mishima City. Please refer to the following page.

<Way to get a cancer check up>
Look at the following chart and if applicable, please make an appointment by telephone.
Please make sure to bring a “Cancer Check Up Card” to the appointment.
The card has a sticker attached, do not remove.
<About the Cancer Check Up Card>
The card will be sent to two groups of people by May: those who received a lung, stomach, or large instestine cancer check up last year and those who turn 20 and 40 this year.
For those who have not received a card, please contact the Health Improvement Section at Hoken Center.
If the card is lost, one may get a new one at the Hoken Center’s front desk.
<Way of receiving results of the check up>
One is able to choose to get the results of the check up either directly at the place of check up or by mail. For those who choose the mail option, results can take up to two months (lung and breast cancer – over two months).
<On the minimum age for check ups>
Check ups are available for those meeting the age requirement by April 1st, 2009.
<On the check up for hepatitis>
Those who have had hepatitis check ups in the past and have current concerns, please contact the Hoken Center.
